Welcome to "Grahasth Ashram"

Posted by SUDHIR TOMAR on 10:05 AM
To,
Mr. & Mrs. Ashutosh
56/N4/Berkhera
BHEL Bhopal (M.P.)

Dear sir/madam,
Myself Sudhir Tomar, on the behalf of Afaque, all our wellwishers & on my own behalf welcome you in "Grahasth Ashram". Ashu, you should now pack your bags, no padhayi likhayi now ... you have already extended that beyond 25, negating the Dharmashastras.

Due to some unavoidable circumstances known to you, I could not attend your marriage. So I formally wish you a very happy & happening married life ( happening means ...thoda khatta , thoda meetha).

Though a lot of freedoms will be cut, no TT ... no cricket ... no BC now, you will get a lot of incentives. Thus at the end of the day yours gains will be more than the losses.

Doston se bhi milte rehna ... Afaque ki kaphi sikayatein aa rahi thi ki TV room mein baitha kar phone per lag jata hai ... phone ko to aaram mil jayega khair ... lekin bhai ghar pe bulate rehna ... kam se kam saturday ko hi sahi. Main to aa nahi paonga .. accumulate some leaves & come to Haridwar ... I am eagrly waiting for you

Again wishing u a very happy & happening married life

Date: 26-11-09
Place: Haridwar

Visit to Rishikesh

Posted by SUDHIR TOMAR on 1:36 PM in ,
The call for Rishikesh came suddenly on friday, my younger bro Nitin told me about his plans of visiting me, as he was reportedly exhausted by studies. He came on saturday, which we utilised for Haridwar. For Rishikesh we left on sunday, which is only 30 kms. from here. Here are some pics ... although not good in quality or quantity, yet worth posting here. Main bhi ekdam nahi badla hun in 3 mahinon mein .... you can see by yourself .... hope you are also happy & healthy

Hello friends, hope you are doing fine. Writing after 12 long days because of unavailability of net here. I joined here on 1st June itself & completed almost all the formalities. Right now, I am in hostel, though there are fair chances of getting a quarter in the coming 2 days. Aur haan TT bhi suru kar diya hai humne. Here it is not as popular as is in Bhopal, hum dono hi khelte rehte hain bas.

Its rotation time again. As I am placed in Condenser & Heat Exchanger planning, I am undergoing training in Heat exchanger engg., steam turbine engg., welding tech, purchase & MM functions. Today I am in Welding technology & writing from welding lab, hey what did you say? Misuse of resources? Come on.. We r made for it .. Hum nahi sudhrenge. Enjoying these rotation days but not without missing those rotation days at Bhopal.

Now something about the plant & work culture here. Nothing is comparable to Bhopal. It is much easier to work in Bhopal. Union is stronger here & it is really tough to get work done. Bhopal plant is better managed & beautifully landscaped as compared to Haridwar. Forget about new PC's, revolving chairs & all that. Internet also has a lot of restrictions here. It is virtually synonymous to railway & online SBI sites. Bhopal, as a city is also much better. No posh areas, no big markets here. I miss MP Nagar, Bittan market & new market a lot, which used to be our favorite weekend hangouts.

Lekin itna bhi kharab nahi hai Haridwar. Fresh water is always available here aur vo bhi ekdam thanda. No water coolers here, neither are water filters. Township is also much better than Bhopal. Garmi bhi kuchh kam hai yahan. We (me & amit off course) generally go on riverside in the evenings, mast thhandi thhandi hawa chalti hai. We are also discovering potential hangout places, though no supermarkets here ( A huge mall is under construction for last many years ... will take more many years to complete) you can get almost everything in the market. I got my bike serviced at local Bajaj service centre and was pleasantly surprised when I got a call from them about how the bike is doing after service.

As far as work culture is concerned, not much problem to me. I have got a team of young supervisors & artisans, and it is much easier to handle them compared to older staff. Waise bhi humne to achhe achho ko theek kiya hai. Jyada ho gaya .. koi baat nahi.

Last but not the least; I miss u a lot .. bahut yaad aati hai … kabhi Haridwar aao to milna jaroor. My sincere thanks to you for making that one year so wonderful & memorable for me. Thanks guys ... for the sweets ... Thanks for everything ... Thanks for making me feel special

Gud bye friends … Gud bye Bhopal

Congratulations everybody on being absorbed as Engineers / Executives. Also today is my last day in Bhopal & I am going to join Haridwar unit on 1st June. It has been a wonderful year I spent with u & I will always cherish every moment of it. From the “masti bhare din” of classes & rotation to horrifying workloads of March, we have seen it all.

It was a refreshing experience to be in a hostel after a gap of 2 years. Moreover it was better in the way that we didn’t have to mug up the books as in our college days. So what more do you want, a hostel life without books, with money and wonderful friends.

The Vodafone punch line “Change is good”, may not be always correct, but for me this change will be good. My home town is just 150 Km. from Haridwar and you all know the advantages of being closer to home. Moreover Haridwar is a nice place to live & fortunately paani to khoob hai vahan.

Just leave the water & I have all good memories of Bhopal. We went on some wonderful trips (Bhimbetka, Bhojpur, Mandu, Ujjain, Manali, Shimla and Bhedaghat Jabalpur), though I missed Pachmadhi & Sanchi.

Though Haridwar is not new to me, it will take some time to come up to a certain comfort level at the new workplace. I am going to join there in Fabrication planning. Amit is also in the same block, though he is in production.

Life will not be same again, much is going to change. Some of us have already changed our status from single to married, others will follow soon. Though I have no such immediate plans but you never know. Also I can’t say that Haridwar is my final destination, life has always other plans.

My best wishes for you and your family (kuchh log to family wale hain hi) … It will be my pleasure to welcome you at Haridwar. Gud bye friends … Gud bye Bhopal

तुम सोच रहे हो बस

Posted by SUDHIR TOMAR on 3:12 PM in , ,

Trip to Bhedaghat, Jabalpur

Posted by SUDHIR TOMAR on 8:47 AM in ,
In our quest for visiting wonderful places, it was the turn of Bhedaghat yesterday. We left by Bhopal-Jabalpur Exp. at 11 PM and reached Jabalpur at around 5.30 in the morning. It was a cross functional team of 16 people comprising Ashutosh, Abhishek, Ajeet, Animesh, Puneet, Ekram, Samad, Eqbal, Maqbool, Pramod, Praveen, Rajeev ranjan, Pintu, Gajju, Ratnakar & me. The trip was managed by Abhishek & Pramod, thank u guys ... because of u, we never had to worry about anything.

Bhedaghat is about 30 min. by auto from Jabalpur city. There are two major attractions - Bhedaghat & Dhnuadhar falls. In Bhedaghat the river Narmada passes through high marble rocks on both sides. It was a wonderful experience, as we took around 4 km trip in a boat.

Dhnuadhar falls is upstream to Bhedaghat. Here Narmada falls from a height making a wonderful fall. Because of the sound it creates, it is known as Dhnuadhar fall.

Pintu was all in tension the whole day, as he left his bag in an auto. But we managed to get it back in the evening and our treat is still pending with Pintu.

The sight seeing was followed by some rest ( game of 29 for some), thanks guys for providing me single bed & that to AC side. From 6 to 9 we went for movie "8x10 TASVEER" in theatre Jyoti near railway station. kya bakwas movie thi yaar, paka diya sahi mein. But then there was hardly any option to us, as our train was at 11 in the night. On good part of it, the dinner at Rupali restaurant was good.

We reached Habibganj at around 6 in the morning, though some drama took place at station also, it is not worth mentioning here. Now i m taking u to the trip again ... so get ready
